We can have some very limiting beliefs around food and diet. You may relate to some of these beliefs:

Believing you have always been overweight and therefore can’t do anything about it

Believing you can’t ever lose weight

Thinking of yourself as having an addictive personality and that you are addicted to certain foods

Believing you don’t have a “full” signal

Believing you have no willpower

By far the majority or people who consult me already know exactly what they ought to be doing to lose weight, understand the importance of good diet and nutrition, and have tried many different diet and weight loss programmes before. Often this just seems to compound the belief that losing weight and keeping it off is difficult.

It isn’t just about losing weight, there is also the resulting loss of self esteem and confidence How you feel about yourself is ultimately the thing you want to change.

Overeating, eating snacks, binge eating and comfort eating can all be symptoms of an underlying anxiety.

Emotional Eating

 There is a difference between emotional and physical hunger, although they can feel the same. Emotional eating is eating when we are stressed, tired or upset, If you feel you eat emotionally then what you need to do is to address the underlying feelings that trigger this response

I will help you to understand the principles of how your mind works, in order to break the cycle and succeed with your goals. Combined with gentle hypnotherapy, this will help you to think positively and move forward to success.

If subconscious forces are at work causing unconscious weight gain or problems such as anorexia or bulimia are present, then Analytical Hypnotherapy will be strongly advised. 

As you are a unique individual, I offer different approaches to help you resolve the  feelings. Analytical Hypnotherapy will allow you to find and resolve the root causes of your problem, or to find and release the feelings which may be underlying your problem.

I also work with you to help you understand how your beliefs about how you feel are very real to you, and how they are affecting you as an individual. Then we work together to look more deeply at how we can address your beliefs to change. I gently teach you how to understand better your unique personality, and change unhelpful thinking in order to overcome your fear.
